Santa Vaca! ! ! June 3, 2009
santa vaca (holy cow) ! ! I never thought Iwould say it, but it can get pretty cold. Yesterday I thought i was going to freeze to death. It didnt help that Elder Megabara made us sleep with the window wide open. Every one in my district is going to portalegra sul which is in the south where it gets cold, so they all have jackets. Today hasn't been to bad, so maybe I'll make it. One of the elders in my district is from Henifer Utah and knows Aunt Tena. His name is Elder Caleb Adams. Ask Tena if she knows him. Its pretty funny listening to him speek portugese cuz he talks (like an old farmboy) The end of last week was really, really frustrating again. It seemed like I was making no progress. but this week has been good. Its to the point that I can some what under stand what people are saying, as long as they are talking about church related stuff. we have also been doing the first lesson which is going good. Elder Cutler and I have a milestone tomorrow to pass it off, then we will work on the street contact in portuges. Luckly enough we dont go street contacting till day 37. The food here is different. The stuff that looks really good is really bad and the stuff the looks really sick is really good. at least that is what it seems like haha. The beans and rice are ok. Monday at gym they made us run a mile to warm up. I have ran a mile before but I have never done it without stopping to walk for a little bit. Monday I made it. I was so happy. but i have been paying for it the last two days if you know what I mean. I am going to try and do it again tonight. I have also been jumping alot. I will do 1 minute of speed then one minute of rest and go for at least 10 minutes. Well thats about all I can think of so, love you all Elder M Cook
